I fav'd this picture because it's awesome and I love it. The stubborn 'in your face' movement is fantastic.
But...I found this image on another site where the artist there is detailing how she drew it. I think. I can't read Japanese and Google won't translate it. I don't want to be insulting or accusing, it's just...well...click on the "making??" link here: sensei.sakura.ne.jp/n/main.htm…
Dude, I will worship you if you're actually i/sensei. But if you're not...then at least explain this.
Because it's a direct copy of another artist's work, you should at least give the original artist credit. The painting and lineart may have all been done by you, but you used a reference from someone else. You did a great job recreating the image, but that image wasn't your original idea. You wrote that the lineart and coloring are by you, but you don't mention where the original picture came from.
Some artists don't like people making exact copies because it feels like their art has been stolen. Other artists are okay with it as long as you give them credit for coming up with the original image, and mention their name. It's the same thing when we write Naruto belongs to Kishimoto. You did a lovely repaint, but you need to tell people that it is a repaint when you post the art.
